Hi Everyone, I’m Courtney. Thanks so much for stopping by! Here’s a little bit about me.

Some Quick Facts:

I graduated from WCU with a BS Degree in Professional studies. The focal point was on my two minors: Journalism and Studio art (with a photography focus).

Through my experience, I’ve found that I love shooting a wide variety of photo shoots including and definitely not limited to: weddings, engagements, senior portraits, maternity, professional head shots, family photos, professional sports teams, and special events.

My Story:

I’ve always had the desire to do what I love, and to pour my whole heart into everything (and anything) that motivates me. Especially when choosing a life long career. Through my time at West Chester University, I really struggled to find a major that fit.

When looking for a future job, I would say the majority of people base it off two major ideas. And that’s usually how much money you’ll make, and your ability to perform the job. Whether that be the positions available in the field, or how successful you’d be at it.

So many people settle into jobs, feeling content. Having, “a job’s a job” kind of mind set. I never wanted to feel ordinary about my career. I was looking for that head over heels moment, where it just clicks. As you could tell, I never found that feeling inside the classroom. I didn’t really need to search for it at all actually.

It started my freshman year, after begging my mom for a fancy Canon DSLR camera. I wanted to take pictures of the sport I played, ultimate Frisbee. Once I got it for Christmas and started shooting, I couldn’t stop.

I started taking pictures of my little sister Gabriella, and even ended up doing my first engagement shoot with some local ultimate frisbee players. It grew into something I did in all of my free time. At the end of my sophomore year of college, I found myself wondering what I wanted to do.

My mom then asked me one of the most important questions:

“If the money weren’t a problem, what would you want to do?”

“Taking pictures, of course”, I responded immediately.

“Well why can’t you?”, My mom said.

As mothers always are, she was right. I have yet to find a good reason, why I shouldn’t go after my dream. Capturing a beautiful story behind my lens, feels like magic to me. I still, get giddy after snapping “the shot” of every session. The one photo, that you and I will never forget.
